^{Acts 13:1} Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. ² While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” ³ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

So many people ask me how you hear from God so when I read this scripture I knew it was my answer. When you spend time with God (through worship, prayer and sometimes fasting) you will hear from him. Just like in our human relationships we hear from one another based on the time we spend with each other - God works the same way. If you give Him the time you will hear from Him. My prayer for this New Year is that we will all spend time with God (worship, prayer, fasting) so that we hear from Him. There is nothing better than hearing His voice speak into your life. May God bless us in this New Year.
